The Blaxound releases their second full length album “Trans-mission”. The release of “Trans-mission” sets a before and after in their discography. The record is released via the renowned USA label Hammondbeat Records, an international benchmark in the edition of albums full of soul and funk.
In 2007, The Blaxound Family recorded their first full length album in their own studio The Blaxound Recording Studio. The album was released in early 2008 on CD and LP format via the independent Spanish label Oídos-Sordos. The album contains 12 great songs of pure Funk and Soul, loaded with a high dose of Hammond organ.
Two years after the release of their first full length album, the Spanish cult magazine, and record label, Enlacefunk released a new 7″ single by The Blaxound Family. The single includes two new songs from the band full of soul and funk, exclusively in vinyl format. One is a cover of Curtis Mayfield’s “Make Me Believe In You” and an own composition entitled “Brand New Old Story”, with Fundación Tony Manero keyboardist Paco “Mantecao” Manzanares as a special guest playing organ.
In 2008 the renowned Spanish label Vampisoul released a compilation of the most outstanding bands from the Spanish soul-funk scene. The compilation includes the track “Don’t mess with Tony” from the Return of the Blaxound album.
